2016 JONATHAN L. FAIRBANKS LECTURE
Appreciating Tiffany As Tiffany Appreciates
ARLIE SULKA, OWNER, LILLIAN NASSAU GALLERY, NEW YORK CITY
TUESDAY, APRIL 5, 2016
In the mid-1950’s, the late Lillian Nassau almost single-handedly created a market for the neglected work of Louis C. Tiffany and Tiffany Studios. While even the general public is today far better informed, new discoveries and recent scholarship have continued to fuel this passion, attracting both old and new collectors. Ms. Sulka will explore the dramatic increase in value that Tiffany works have achieved over the last five decades, and describe how great Tiffany collections are being formed today.
