In addition to housing university students, we host a number of activities during the year. The events are meant to enrich attendees in a variety of ways.

Bayridge alumnae host an annual Bayridge Auction, which includes a multi-course dinner in the front living room, an original drawing room designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany. Residents help plan and execute the event, which functions as our major money-raising effort for the year.

In conjunction with the Ayer Mansion we plan a yearly lecture series with a focus on art and design.  Click here for more details about the 2015-2016 Think Deeper Lecture series.

We also hold two week-long summer programs for high school students: College Prep and Service in the City.

For over 50 years Bayridge has housed and nurtured countless women during their academic journey. We’ve helped them to take their studies seriously, form lasting friendships, deepen their faith and aspire to greatness. A residence of this magnitude needs care, upkeep and renovation. The auction serves a valuable role in helping to defray some of the extraordinary costs incurred for necessary renovation, upgrades and maintenance to Bayridge. In recent years the proceeds generated by the auction enabled us to upgrade fire systems, restore old bathrooms and renovate residence floors.

Previous auction items have included: an oil painting by Jonathan L. Fairbanks, a 7-night stay at a private house in Barbados, Red Sox, Bruins and Celtics tickets, as well as Tiffany jewelry.

Our 2015 auction will be held on November 13. Please click here to purchase tickets and view auction items.
